They are all true and, like most things that go awry, seemed like a good idea at the time."

Vern Hopkins was born and raised in the valley east of Spokane, Washington.  His life has been a combination of the five "R"s; Ranching, Rodeoing, Racing, Road Building, and Retirement.  He is now retired and lives on a little farm near Four Lakes, Washington, a few miles south-west of Spokane.  He still finds the time for a saddle horse, or two, or three.
